Is New Logic acne range suitable to all skin types?

Yes, all skin types can use New Logic products.

Is New Logic acne range safe to use day & night, on-going as a preventative for acne?

Yes, the Foaming Cleanser and the Oil-Free Moisturiser can be used twice daily on-going as these products are designed to deep cleanse the skin and to hydrate and nourish. Prolonged use of the Spot Gel and the Night Treatment could cause flaking of the skin and therefore these products should only be used when acne blemishes are visible. Should you develop any form of reaction you should stop using the products and consult a doctor.

Can I apply make-up over top of New Logic acne products?

Yes, just allow the products to absorb for a couple of minutes prior to applying makeup.

Can New Logic acne products be used during pregnancy and nursing?

If pregnant or nursing or planning to become pregnant, it is recommended that you check with your doctor before using any acne products.

Can New Logic products be used with other acne products or prescribed acne medication?

This depends on various factors, including what other products are being used and what medication you are taking. It is best to consult your pharmacist before using other acne products. Regardless, we always recommend patch testing on a small area before using a new product to ensure no adverse reactions occur.

Can New Logic acne products be used on their own, or do they need to be used as a regime?

New Logic acne products are best used as a regime as they are designed to work together. Acne is a multifaceted condition that requires different products to help keep skin clean and support the healing process.

New Logic acne products contain protein, what is it?

Our products contain Fibraspect™ which contains food grade, bovine milk protein which is derived from cows’ milk.

Are New Logic products tested on animals?

No, we do not support animal testing and our products are cruelty free.

Does New Logic have any side effects?

Side effects are rare, however a mild reaction may include drying, flaking and irritation for some users. Others may be hypersensitive or allergic to certain ingredients. For a full list of product ingredients, please refer to the product tabs on our website or the product packaging. If irritation becomes severe, or you have symptoms of an allergic reaction (such as itching, rash, swelling and shortness of breath), you should stop using the products and consult a doctor.

Why does New Logic use Glycolic Acid?

Glycolic acid is a gentle exfoliant, that removes dead skin cells off the surface, leaving bright, fresh new skin and helping to reduce blocked pores. This helps to prevent spots and breakouts.

In addition to reducing acne, glycolic acid has been shown to improve skin tone, skin texture and reduce the appearance of acne scars and sun damage spots (hyperpigmentation).

What is Fibraspect™ and why do you use it?

Fibraspect™ keeps the active ingredients on your skin and fighting acne for up to four times longer. It’s a natural protein gel that helps bind and gently release ingredients, so they stay on your skin for up to four times longer than standard treatments.

With Fibraspect™, your skin gets the benefit, not your pillowcase.

Key benefits of Fibraspect™ in topical formulations:

Longer times between reapplication

Active ingredients stay where they are needed

Enhances hydration by sealing moisture in the skin

Is New Logic acne range suitable to males and females?

Yes, males and females can use New Logic products.

Can New Logic acne products be used by someone who has a dairy allergy?

Although the dairy allergen in the protein has been significantly reduced in the processing of Fibraspect300® it is recommended that you patch test the product if you have a known allergy to dairy.

Why do you recommend patch testing and how do I patch test?

Patch testing is recommended when using a new product to see if it is suitable for your skin type and to check that you will not experience an allergic reaction or irritation from the product. A common place to patch test for potential allergic reaction or irritation is either behind the ear, or where ever your skin is most sensitive.

Place a small amount of the product on the area (big enough for you to notice a difference should a reaction occur, but small enough for it not to bother you too much should this happen). Leave the product on the area for at least 24 hours and watch for any sign of skin reaction ie: irritation, redness, itching, swelling, blistering, weeping, crusting, rash, etc. More sensitive people may want to do this process for 2 -3 days before applying the product over a large area.
